Who controls Whom?

It has been said, "To learn who rules over you, first see who you cannot criticize."

Of late it seems that certain political entities have completely lost any sense of what the United States of America is founded on.

The Bill of Rights (a list of enumerated rights that are discussed, but not granted, in the Constitution) starts off with Freedom of Speech:

Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances.

This is generally understood (up to about 15 years or so ago) to mean that people can say what they wish without the Government interfering.  There is no exception made for "preventing misinformation" as is often claimed.  Right or wrong, people are allowed to voice their opinions.

Politically, a certain party has been taking to silencing anyone that disagrees with their totalitarian agenda.  It became blatantly obvious when the voices that were quelled were medical professionals attempting to make known their views on a certain illness.  The oppressors had any statements removed from Social Media and Media in general, and even threatened the ability of those people to practice their craft --err, Medicine.  Why?  Simply because their educated views did not line up with the agendas that are being enforced.

If time allows, I expect to dive into the terminology chosen by the Founding Fathers, and I hope to demonstrate that the Constitution is a means to limit Government, rather than the people.

We'll see how this goes.
